A tragic incident unfolded in San Diego Monday evening after an argument between a couple turned deadly. Authorities say 61-year-old Irene Williams lost her life after allegedly being thrown from a third-floor balcony by her boyfriend.

Police report that Williams and 57-year-old Albert Turner, who had been in a relationship for a while, got into a heated dispute at an apartment on West San Ysidro Boulevard. Things escalated when Williams reportedly began tossing Turner’s belongings off the balcony. In response, Turner is accused of grabbing her and throwing her over the railing.

Eyewitnesses called 911 around 7:21 p.m., telling dispatchers they saw a woman being thrown from the apartment balcony.

Responding officers found Williams lying in the courtyard below with severe injuries, including major head trauma and a broken leg. She was rushed to the hospital but sadly died from her injuries.

Turner was arrested at the scene and is now facing serious charges, including suspicion of murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and probation violations. He is currently being held without bail at the San Diego Central Jail.
