Kano, Nigeria — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has restated its commitment to a close working relationship with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to support the effective administration of criminal justice in the country.
Executive Chairman Ola Olukoyede conveyed the message through ACE I Friday S. Ebelo, Zonal Director of the EFCC’s Kano Directorate, during a meeting on Thursday, October 7, 2026. The Commission hosted the newly elected leadership of the NBA Kano State Branch, led by its Chairman, Sani Ammani.
Olukoyede described the EFCC and the NBA as “symbiotic twins that cannot be separated.” He stressed that the Commission operates strictly within the confines of the rule of law and the Constitution, with the protection of citizens’ fundamental rights remaining central to its operations and legal work.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by the anti-graft agency to deepen collaboration with the legal profession in the fight against corruption and related offences.
