The online rivalry between Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan and supporters of popular singer Wizkid has intensified following a recent challenge issued by the activist. In a video shared on X, VeryDarkMan called on Wizkid FC fans to unfollow him en masse, suggesting that a significant drop in his follower count would prove their influence.
Shortly after the video went viral, supporters of VeryDarkMan, known as the Ratels, reportedly took action against a prominent Wizkid FC fan’s Instagram page, causing it to be taken down.
This feud intensified after VeryDarkMan criticized Wizkid for his perceived disrespect toward the legacy of music icon Fela Kuti. VeryDarkMan has repeatedly called his Ratel Movement as a serious, principled fan community, contrasting it with what he describes as the “unserious” Wizkid FC.
